TYPES OF CARDSTOCK INVITATIONS

LETTERPRESS

Lovely impressions into ultrathick cardstock

Pros/Cons​

  • Comes in several paper options, mostly in white, ivory and black.

  • These can also have multiple colors but each requires a separate plate to be made.

  • This can be a very expensive and take a long time in production. (3-4 weeks)

  • This is a great option also for handmade papers and not just the ultrathick cardstock.

  • Absolutely timeless and often produced on machinery from early 1900s.

FOIL

Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and more metallic foils

Pros/Cons​

  • We can hot foil stamp on any paper color you please with any color foil.

  • The most popular foil colors are gold, rose gold, silver but we have tons of other colors! 

  • Foil is very elegant but also carries a plate fee and a bit of a longer production time than digital printing (2-3 weeks)

  • Can be inexpensive to mail if we use a none rigid cardstock. 

  • We can foil on more than just paper too. We can foil a monogram on pocket folders, belly bands, and so much more!

DIGITAL PRINTING 

Printed on any paper or color, in any design on high tech digital printers

Pros/Cons​

  • Absolutely the fastest turnaround of all of our options.
    As little as 4 weeks from start to shipping if you have all of your information ready! 

  • Comes in any color option you would love!

  • We also offer premium white ink digital printing on cardstock and envelopes.

  • Least expensive to mail.

THIN ACRYLIC

0.5mm thick available in clear

Pros/Cons​

  • Comes clear.
    Clear is prone to finger prints.

  • Should be hand sorted at post office (ask your post office to upgrade). 

  • Does NOT require a cardstock option but can come with it for aesthetic reasons.

  • If you are NOT ordering assembly, they will come with a protective backing that you will need to peel off. See video! 

  • Mails the least expensive of all three weights.

MEDIUM RIGID ACRYLIC

0.7mm thick available in clear and frost

Pros/Cons​

  • Comes clear and frost.
    Clear is prone to finger prints.
    The frost is not but can scratch
    if handled roughly.

  • Should be hand sorted at post office (ask your post office to upgrade). 

  • Does NOT require a cardstock option but can come with it for aesthetic reasons.

  • If you are NOT ordering assembly, they will come with a protective backing that you will need to peel off. See video

THICK ACRYLIC

1/8 Inch Thick | 3.175mm available in clear and black

Pros/Cons​

  • Comes in clear and black.

  • Requires cardstock packaging to mail safely. View packaging options here.

  • Is the highest end acrylic invitation on the market.

  • Can have matte white, navy or black text or upgrade to foil imprint in gold, rose gold, silver, copper, etc.
    It can have color images, but the color of text itself has to be the above colors.

  • Expensive to mail. Mails as a package which is $2-5.50 per invitation.

  • Prone to finger prints

  • If you are NOT ordering assembly, they will come with a protective backing that you will need to peel off. See video
